Bechdel Test for Women in Movies

I recently read about the Bechdel Test for Women in Movies.

It is designed to measure an active presence of women in films.  The film must meet 3 criteria:

(1) two or more female characters;
(2) who talk to each other;
(3) about something other than a man.

The majority of top grossing films do not pass this test.
